I was referred to Matt by my graphic designer, Kristen Yngve, who was helping me make my website more reflective of my true personality, and whose opinion I trust. Matt and his make-up artist Kacie did a great job making me feel comfortable, helping me make final decisions about my outfit, and “capturing my essense” during the photo shoot. Matt quickly recognized and optimized my best angles, features, and postures. He talked to me about my interests, and then he and Kacie even put some of my favorite music on during the shoot!

They both were patient as I looked at the initial digital photos and asked to make some hair and wardrobe adjustments. I now have pictures on my website that I am proud of and feel better represent my style, purpose, and energy. I recently hired Matt to photograph installations of LED lighting in a movie theater chain.

The resulting photos were beautiful and captured exactly what we were looking for. This is special because I was unable to be on site during the photo shoot, so Matt had to rely solely on sample shots and direction I gave him over the phone in advance of the shoot.

Additionally, Matt was incredibly responsive throughout the process. He always responded to emails and returned phone calls promptly. He also turned around the photos very quickly. This was helpful as we were on a tight deadline.

I would absolutely hire Matt again. The photos were excellent, his professionalism was top notch and he was incredibly punctual.

We needed to set up some executive portraits to replace some old ones that I had inherited when I accepted my position. I brought Matt McKee and his people into our offices for a morning shoot.

He quickly helped us to make new portraits that were in keeping with the company marketing message, while still allowing us to feel comfortable and natural.

In fact, the hardest part of the project was choosing which images to finalize.

I called Matt in to create a series of photographs for a web site project. The client is in the healthcare industry, so they wanted the photos to be professional and personable. Each section of the site needed to include a unique photo of company staff working together to illustrate the core message.

Matt helped us develop the look of each image and figure out the logistics to produce the strongest images, with the least impact on the working day. He and his team created a fun, low key atmosphere on location which helped our amateur models feel comfortable in front of the camera (not an easy task). The client was thrilled with the results, which means I was also a satisfied customer.

This has been my fourth shoot with Matt and the results and reaction are always immediate. I love how his headshots cut thru the pile. Casting directors sift thru thousands of headshots and I like mine to be effective and artsy at the same time! If you are an actor, your headshots must look like YOU! I continue to work with Matt because he knows how to capture that each and every time I shoot with him!

Working with Matt McKee is a dream. He is not only an extremely talented photographer, but a great communicator and collaborator.

Working through concepts and then drafts of promo materials is colored by his sense of humor, easy-going style, and willingness to try new things. He makes the creative process more enjoyable than anyone I’ve worked with!

We are really satisfied with the quality of your work. In the future, I think, we will have more jobs in Boston and I will advise you as our photographer!

Our product poses a unique challenge in that it is small. I mean really tiny! At a millimeter and a half on the long side, it can be really hard to create an interesting, eye catching and clear picture of it for our marketing.

Matt was able to create images that appealed to both our engineers and our marketing department, another difficult challenge. I highly recommend calling him if you have any need for photos for your marketing projects.

For headshot photographers, I recommend Matthew McKee.  I just did a photo shoot with him last Thursday and we had more good shots than we could use…many of which were as good as the ones from a shoot I did with the best (and most expensive) headshot photographer in NY.  He’s better than anyone I know in Boston.

Matt and his team worked well with ours to produce some great studio-style product shots on location. His team also effectively captured the product in-use to deliver results with which our clients were happy.

Our team really enjoys working with Matt. He is very intuitive, creative and delivers that one shot you need to tell the story. He is easy to work with because he takes excellent direction and has a collaborative personality. Matt and I have traveled to locations throughout the world, so he knows how to travel and shoot without having to spend your budget in rental equipment. Matt and I have been working on projects behind the scenes for several years, and finally he convinced me to get in front of the lens. Personable, Expert, Creative
I’ve known Matt McKee for several years and used him on an important project. He was on-time, on budget, professional, creative, and put people at ease as he was photographing them. This was not an easy feat when dealing with something so personal as a person’s appearance! I recommend Matt for your professional photography needs.

We had an interesting assignment for Matt: No prep time, a tight shoot window, an even tighter deadline, four executives, a 53 foot truck (on its way to somewhere else), and a sort of vague vertical layout.

Oh, and make it work for a magazine cover!

From wrangling the truck into the location to working with our people and getting them relaxed, Matt and his team worked all of it together to get us exactly what we needed, when we needed it, and, in the time we had to do it.

If a picture is worth a thousand words than Matt’s work is the Encyclopedia Brittanica. He is such a pleasure to work with – when he does a project for the NVCC (Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce) we have the photos almost instantaneously. Matt is one of those guys that people in theater call a Triple threat… (Sing great, Dance well, and can Act ).

In the real world I prefer he didn’t sing. I don’t know if he can dance ( although have seem him walk AND chew gum…) but I’ve never seen him act poorly.
