You never know what is going to happen when the phone rings. I get a call from a marketing director who says she has a major challenge for me.
“Can you photograph something small for me?”
“Oh, sure. That shouldn’t be a problem.” (Uh, did I ask how small?)
“Great! I will drop it off tomorrow. It’s pretty small though.”
“No problem!” (Gosh, how small can it be? And why didn’t I ask!?!)
Okay, this thing is 1 millimeter on its shortest side. The giant quartz crystals are actually fine sand. The device is a computer clock chip that the company is bringing out that will revolutionize the industry.
This was actually the second tiny product shot I have been asked to do this year. Could be a trend? Better get my eyes checked again…
