Cherry Bomb! Duncan Hughes, Julian Edelman and New England Home
Cherry Bomb! and Interior Design
Cherry Bomb!, a part of my Sweet Blasts series, was created to be bold, in your face, and generate conversations about how we grow our food. It has had decent success as a limited edition print, finding its way into homes and kitchens from Bermuda to London.
But, once it is out there in the world, as any artist can attest, it is easy to lose track of where the art works live.
So, imagine my surprise when I get a flurry of emails and dms from friends who spotted it in New England Home magazine, living in Julian Edelman‘s living room! (link to the issue)
Master Piece Gallery and Duncan Hughes
According to Keith Whitmore, at Master Piece Gallery and Framing, in the Design Center, Master Interior Designer, Duncan Hughes spotted the 40″x50″ Cherry Bomb! in the window of the gallery and had been struck how it would be the perfect center piece for an upcoming interior design project he was working on… for New England Patriot Julian Edelman.
Now, if you don’t know Duncan, you may want to do some homework. He has his own furniture line and has won all kinds of awards for his stylish, yet very livable spaces.
And, after chatting with him at a talk hosted at M Fine Arts, and moderated by noted architectural photographer, Michael J Lee, in Boston, I can also attest that he is a wonderful, articulate person.
New England Home Magazine
The article, insightfully written by Bob Curley and illustrated with photographs by Michael J Lee, gives a peek into Duncan’s design process. It also explores Julian’s goals for his Back Bay condo.
It is definitely worth the read, whether you are a fan of interior design or a sports aficionado!
