Sweet Blasts! at the Piano Craft Gallery

ART 100 BOSTON 2016 presents its third annual art exhibition featuring over 60 participating artists and more than 450 original works of art, each priced at one hundred dollars, from December 2-17, 2016 at the Piano Craft Gallery.  The exhibition will include paintings, photographs, ceramic and glass sculptures, limited edition prints, and mixed media constructions created by established and emerging artists working in the New England area. The exhibition commences with a reception on Friday, December 2 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“ART 100 was established to create a fun and accessible tradition of collecting art while also creating a contemporary artist community ” says Pares Mallis, founder, curator and organizer of ART 100 Boston. “By pricing each work at 100 dollars, collectors feel the empowerment of purchasing original art and being an art market player.”

ART100 artists and their work are diverse and the show spans from Renee Caouette’s hyper realist oil paintings, leader in the field of glass sculpture, Wayne Strattman’s surreal structures, abstract painter, a_arounius’s energetic psychedelic paintings to Elizabeth Boates’s porcelain constructed spaceships.   “It is an honor to be a participating artist for the 3rd year in a row” says Anna Koon, painter,   “It’s a unique event where the energy of the local art scene meets art lovers.”

ART 100 BOSTON established in 2014 by Pares Mallis, artist, arts administrator and curator of 32 years working in both the United States and Greece.  Cary Rapaport, Boston based artist, joins ART 100 BOSTON this year as assistant curator.
