Young Professional Entertainers – Mixed Emotions

Professional headshots and a cover art group portrait of Mixed Emotions, a troupe of young professional entertainers based at RTWBoston.

Mixed Emotions

Mixed Emotions, a group of young professional entertainers, was back in the studio for a group portrait photoshoot.

The photos were for their marketing program and an upcoming cd release.

They are based out of Riverside Theatre Works,

Who are these Young Professional Entertainers?

Mixed Emotion members audition for the priveledge of being a part of the troupe. Ranging in age from 14 to 18 years old, the group represents the touring arm of Riverside Theatre Works, in the Boston suburb of Hyde Park.

Lead by seasoned theatrical professional and founder of Riverside Theatre Works, Marietta Phinney, the group brings a mix of musical showstoppers to locations all over New England and beyond, spanning many periods and styles from Pop to Broadway, Jazz to Rock, Classical to Swing.

The program is designed to help aspiring young professional entertainers gain the seasoning they need to build their careers in the arts.

The Photo Shoot

Imagine six high energy teens, their director, assistant director, theatrical publicity person, and various parents and guardians all converging on our Hyde Park Photo Studio.

It was, as usual, a joyful, chaotic, emotional (Mixed Emotions, right?) roller coaster of a shoot. They were all very professional, but excited to be on a professional set.

We had set up a shot list to help guide us through the art for the cd and release poster.

And, it helped us to stay on track.

Along with the group cover art, we created “photo booth” style images of duos and trios.

All in all, the upbeat energy of the group came across in every frame!
